Sore feet and shopping bags

Phew, now here’s a long post from me, for once.

It’s our third day here, and wow. My feet have never ever been this sore. i think it’s partially my own fault for walking around in ballerina shoes all the time. Not a very good idea indeed. So what have we been doing?

Yeasterday we did Oxford street. I bought tons of stuff at New Look, mainly tops and underwear, but also a pair of deilicious shoes. These, to be exact.

Aren’t they just amazing? Just what i have been looking for. Low enough heel to be comfy, kind of vintage pin-up feel, and so sexy and shiny.

We got blown away at Selfridges, wich is HUGE and scary. I didn’t dare to enter the Alexander Mc Queen shop, I was afraid they’d kick me straight out again. Disney store was a huge disappoinment, they had like 10 movies and that was it. And the merchandise wasn’t that cool (except for the Wall-E robot, that was kinda neat and cute). We ended the day at Top Shop, but our feet was aching so bad that we only managed three out of four floors. Pathetic, eh?

Today we had some bits and pieces to do. Last floor of Top Shop, American Apparel and the Doc Martens store. Ended up stopping by Urban Outfitters, and bought this supercute litte speakerphone-thingy. Pictures will come when I get around to taking some. in short it looks like a big wallet, or maybe a little make-up bag, with the patter of an old radio. It’s an actualy speakerphone, and a wire so you can plug your iPod to it! And then you can put the iPod in the bag, and voila. Radio that plays all your favourite music.

American Apparel was… holy christ, it looked like the 80’s had puked inside a store. But it was kinda cute, and I got a two pair of nice stockings with backseams. Yes, actually! They didn’t have any of the cute unisex-undies in any colors I liked though. Going to go to the one in Oxford Street tomorrow and look there.

Doc Martens next, or actually DM was before AA, but who’s counting. Sondre was gonne by himself some Docs, since he got so jealous of mine (mwohahaha). I was looking around and found at that not only do Doc Martens maybe pumps, they make AWESOME pumps. I had to have these:

Im also considering buying these later. They don’t look like much on the picture, but the color is STUNNING. And I need a pair of low ones, too.

I ALSO bought a pair of cute red flats that I can’t find pictures of right now. Think bowling shoes, the bit oldfashioned type, just… Shiny dark cherry red. And yes, shiny. Mmmmm. Delicious.

We were going to go to Camden, but when we got there, it was so late that everything had closed! Oh my. Tomorrow then. We bought some found and decided to try out The Devonshire Arms. Unfortunatley, they had metal night, so we drank half a beer each and decided to drop it.

So the last part of the evening was spent at the hotelroom watching Ever After. Nice enough, that ^^

Oh, by the way. Every single one of you need to get your ass to a Pizza Hut. I don’t care what you eat for dinner, but you MUST eat their cookie dough for dessert. Holy crap. We almost died. Biggest foodgasm ever. So much delicious.

Delicious is my new favourite word, by the way. Have you noticed?

So tomorrow it’s Fairygothmother, Camden, and then we’re gonna relax at Kew Gardens. I think it’s gonna be nice. Fingers crossed it doesn’t rain!

This is Rose, reporting live from London!

So here we are then! Man, what a great start. I could go home tomorrow and be pleased with the trip!

We decided to start off with Camden. So after a quick breakfast on the hotelroom we jumped in our clothes and ran to the tube.

Coming out of the Camden tube station was so weird. I was looking up Camden High Street with a feeling of coming home. I have only been there once before, but it’s my favourite place on earth.

After a quick stroll on the market, we went up to the Stables. And just stayed there XD It’s so much fun exploring all the weird little shops. There are a few worth mentioning.

G.L.P (Gothic, lolita, punk) : Two small stores filled with eloborate and beautiful (quality) clothes with strong japanesque influence. Lolita and j-rock is the mst domininent, but there’s a little something that can be worked into whatever style. Im seriously thinking about buying a shirt there, with loads of lace and frills. And maybe a cute vest-top. And a bag.

Cyberdog: Wow, just wow. I wanted to dance trough the whole store. Im not cyber myself, but I love looking at it. And the feel of the shop is just amazing. Going back tomorrow to buy a present for my littlebrother there!

Burleska: I have NEVER seen so many corsets at once before! Holy fuck, it’s like… Tons of them! Hundreds!

The black rose/Collectif: These are two stores in one room, and MAN! Every rockabilly and pin-up girl in the world: This is the place to shop those lovely dresses. I bought one myself today, black with cherries, and it looked like I was two sizes smaller than I am! :D

Now we’re heading off four Covent Garden, gonna check out the huge Doc Martens store there. And then, dinner on Hard Rock Cafe. See you later, kittens!

PS: Someone must buy me a wheelchair when we get home, my feet are gonna fall off.

Lise Myhre lever!

Sukk.

Intervjuet kan leses her. Det er ikke verdens kuleste, men det funker.

Og sånn ellers? Ikke spør. Jeg er stressa fra heeeeeeelvete. Så stressa at jeg ikke orker å skrive på engelsk engang.

Exaaaaams and stress and schizo weather

So, I have four days left until I have to finish my exam. That’s two days less than everyone else in my class. Why? Because Im going to the dentist next tuesday, and Im afraid the anasthesia will knock me completly out a couple of days. So I have to finish my exam before that. So far it’s looking good though! The site itself is almost completly done, I have only the video left now. I should be able to do that in four days. Well, three days, have the fourth day to write the rapport and collect files and such. Should be easy peasy…. Right? Right? RIGHT?!!!

And then there’s a thousand other things that should be done. So much I gotta do. Find out what we need when we move, hire a truck, pack everything, pack stuff for london, find jobs, and so on and the list goes on forever. I need more time! :O

The weather has calmed down from the intense heat. Now it’s cold outside… A tad too cold. I want it to be about 23-24 degrees. Perfect.

Well, I gotta restart because Dreamweaver just went byebye. I’ll probably be a bit silent until this stressfull period is over. Take care, darlings!

xoxoxo

ShoeBAR - review

So, I decided this required it’s own post. Every norwegian, especially those recided in Oslo, you HAVE to check out ShoeBAR. (if there’s any foreigners planning to go to Oslo, then you must check it out too)

The concept is simple, but oh so genius. Shoeshop and coffeeshop in one. The shoes are brands that aren’t that smaller and less known here. Brands like Kawasaki, Art, Keep, Simple, Herman Monster, Doc Martens, Jean Paul, Blink and loads of other exciting designs. The shoes are cool, urban, different, a tad on the metrosexual side for the boys, and elegant and classy for the ladies. They have sky-high pumps and normal sneakers (with a twist, of course).

They also have accecoires, like sunglasses, scarves, watches, boxershorts and some t-shirts. All things you can’t get anywhere else.

Not to forget, the coffee is to DIE for. Best coffee in town. Worth a special mentioning is the cappucio (wich really just is a misspelling of cappucino, but I decided that should be their signature coffee) and their Ice Mocca. Seriously, that Ice Mocca is the only thing that makes me survive the extreme heat that’s been lately.

The coffee will make you go like this:

They are located in STRØGET, the little alley that goes between Torggata and Storgata. And you can find them at http://www.shoebar.no

On a scale from 1 to 10, I give them 15.

Apartment, Kent and camwhoring

We’ve got a new apartment! It’s delicious and cool and we love it. Can’t wait to move, but it’s still one and a half month. Oh well, worth the wait! We were the first people there to see it, and we left with the contract. Awesome? Why yes indeed. It’s 70 m2, with one bedroom, huge bathroom and kitchen, big living room, hallway, and outside space. Compared to the one we have now, it’s a palace, almost double the size! And 1000 kroners less a month…

Pictures wil probably come the next time we’re down there, to get the keys and stuff.

We discovered something cool yeasterday. Kent is a brand of cigarettes that we usually avoid, but we saw this cool, black, thin package… Hmmm, interessting! So we bought it. And it’s really cool and really good minicigs! Nom nom.

And today I was bored. So here’s some camwhoring.

That’s all, now we’re going out for a beer in the suuuuuuun. Nomnom.

So, look for it by the end of June! More precisly, June 19th. It`s about time, right?

Going to look at an apartment today. Wish us luck, and cross your fingers!

Bring me back as a dog in the next life

I really think a doglife would be easier.

So, summer is drawing closer, and fast. We are going to move back to Porsgrunn/Skien. Hopefully in the middle of july. The faster we find an apartment, the better, because we cannot try to find jobs before we have a place to live and a date to move.

So, here’s the deal. We want one that is about 60m2, up to 80m2, and that doesn’t cost more than 5.500. Nothing, absolutley nothing, on the market, in our prize range and size. Just bloody fantastic. There is one that I have sent an email about, not heard anything yet, so Im wondering if I should call. Im getting more and more concerned about this now. We need a place to live.
